About Me

Olvera StA native of Zumbota, MN; I grew up a small town girl in the '70's & 80's.

I headed West to California in 1999, lived in Los Angeles, Manhattan, Los Angeles (again), San Fransisco, Raleigh, NC then back to Los Angeles (yes, again) before returning to my little 'schoolhouse on the prairie' in Rochester, MN with my husband, Dave and our dogs, Nix and Denver.

I was diagnosed with Cerebral Cavernous Angiomas in my brain in 2006 and am a 2 time brain surgery survivor. Now I take photos (one handed) of the MN Prairie, Advocate for people with disabilities, and work at ABILITY Magazine.
